Well it's been interesting so far this calving season. We've won some and lost some, just kind of a weird "go 'round" this time. Anyhow, got some pics for you today.
To replace the babies that we've lost, we've bought some Holstein bull calves from a local dairy operation to put on the momma cows. An adoption process if that's how you wanna think about it. Anyway it keeps our cows somewhat productive for the rest of the year, and bull calves at a dairy are pretty much surplus.
Here ya go.
Click the pics to make 'em big.
"I just stepped in something ucky!"
"Mommmmm?"
Walk like an Egyptian...
"We smell corn. You're hiding it aren't you? Girls... get 'em."
Cow exhaust.
And finally, your "Awwwwwwww" moment of the day.

The "awwww" moment was the first picture.
Too stinkin' cute.
love the "moooommmm" one.
I'm gonna call him Spots.
Awwww....
:-)
I LOVE COWS! I love their big, brown eyes and their laid-back attitudes.
My grandpa kept cows and I loved waking up to the soothing sound of their lowing.
Some cute pictures there my friend, and well done with winning Sass's comp.
When calves are really cute do you ever hug them?
Oh my gosh.. adorable! =]
Being a woodworker and a guy who worked with cattle in an earlier life, you gave me an idea for a title for my blog,if I should ever start one."Shavings and Cow Exhaust",or better yet,"Shavings and Bull Exhaust". ;) ;)
I just love their little noses, and they're so fuzzy! My "first love" had cows, and I'd always hang around the barns at the county fair because I couldn't get enough of them. Glad things worked out with the bull calves.
How can you stay away from the calves??? That little pink nose is just adorable!
MO: heh heh... sometimes.
Dick: You're on your way to a blog man!
Thanks for the nice comments everyone!

Great post, Cowguy! Sure are cute when they're small. :)
Awwwww is right!!!!!
you know, bull calves are just as cute as any other calf.......... while they are calves. After that, well, I have to say they sorta wear out their cuteness. especially if they do that snort and whoosh thing from their noses at you.
There is nothing cuter that little cow babies! Thanks for the pictures...I needed to smile today!
