Janeane, You Ignorant Slut.

You know I've never flat out made a political stand on my blog, and maybe this isn't really political. Maybe it's personal and political. My blog friend Scope told me once when I was holding back on a post that wasn't humor... "It's your blog, it's about you and your thoughts. Write it." ... or something like that. That was the meaning anyhow.

So on the heels of my Earth Day post that was none too popular for some, here's this little prize that's been eating at me for a few days.

I'll be funny later.

Note: If you feel the need to see this performance, Google it. I'm sure it's all over the internets. I ain't posting it on MY blog.

I watched Janeane Garofalo on a MSNBC broadcast call ME a racist.

Me.

Racist.

How dare she. Over and over and over she called me a racist because (just in case you've missed this little treasure) I don't care for how President Obama is running the show up on Capitol Hill. I've got not a thing against Mr. Obama's color, race, choice of underpants or anything else. I just don't agree with his policies and how he's spent my country into a tailspin.

Racist?

Honestly I never much cared for Garafalo either. She's always angry. Always. Her acting and comedic talent is nil to nonexistent in my opinion but hey, she's got herself a little soapbox because she's an "entertainer" and she's got a thing or 2 to say to roughly half of America and that thing is "RACISTS!"

And while I'm on this rail, how come when you get to be a movie star or television star or a musician etc etc... you're suddenly a political analyst that knows what is best for this country? And people listen. My head swims.

And they're angry, just like Garafalo. I don't know why they all seem so angry, so full of hate and vile things. They are the political left, AND they have won. They have a politically left president and a Democrat controlled congress. It's all going their way and yet they're so very angry and want everyone to know it. Maybe that's the actor part of their personality. I don't know. Whatever causes it, it's unattractive and sorta makes me not wanna see 'em on or in any media that I might be perusing.

I'm a real even tempered man, I love my country with all my heart. I'm proud of my country. The number of people that I hold in disdain is so few I could probably count 'em on one hand. I cherish friendships, family and know no strangers. When some angry little twat comes out on television though, and calls me a racist just because I don't care for the President of my country... I don't like her much. I don't like her very much at all.

That was uncalled for, harsh, small minded and pure idiocy. I don't have to prove to anyone that I'm not a racist. Those that know me... know me.

So to borrow a line from Chevy Chase on the old SNL, Janeane... you ignorant slut. Shut up.

Oh and take a bath and wash that hair. It's just nasty. Prozac might be something you need to look into as well.

No apologies. I needed to say this and I'm all done.

I applaud your honesty, Cowguy. Sometimes you've gotta just get it off your chest, and here's the best place for it!

Heh heh heh!

Looks like she found your button, Jace. :)

Not that she didn't hit mine, too. I'm glad to see someone else who shares my amazement at how success at entertainment (which usually involved deceit of some kind) transmutes to social and political prescience so quickly. If we could figure that out we would probably have discovered secret of making gold from lead.

The other thing is that she is so sensitive to others who criticize without venom and responds with the most venomous bile. It's like she's the black side of the yin/yang symbol. And, God Forbid, don't try to list the shortcomings of the anointed one - and they are many - because your great-grandparents will be disinterred and shown on national TV and your great grandchildren's great grandchildren will be hunted down in the name of political correctness.

We shouldn't be reacting to Janny garf, though. We should be castigating the media that give these idiots a platform from which to be heard. We should be frightened that our national media are part and parcel of giant corporate multi-industry conglomerates who choose what political positions are supported and which are attacked apparently based on their desire for profits.

Did you hear that Pelosi wants to start a government Truth Commission the purpose of which would be to investigate the deliberations and information gathering done in the Bush admin? Obamanation came out against it. I guess he thinks that if they can do it to Dubyah they might be able to do it to him>

But - don't get me started unless you want to know how this country really OUGHT to be run! :)

Here here. I love how everyone who doesn't agree with the administration is a racist bigot. I guess all those Hilary supporters who voted for him are a bunch of racists that hid their hoods and robes on election day. Or election days.

And, you're right, Garofalo is about as funny as a paraplegic. But then, Keith Olberman is about as entertaining and savvy as ringworm.

And I hear there are alot of black people who are a wee bit pissed that a skanky hollywood white trash female is the self-appointed representative for the black community.

OMG -- the ringworm comment LOL... just LOL!!

Cowguy, I agree with you. I admire the fact that so many different bloggers all over the country with different backgrounds, religions, preferences, political beliefs, etc. can all get along and act like adults even when they don't agree on every issue. I tire easily of name calling by hypocritical and preachy movie stars and celebrities.

I hadn't watched this - I mean, I hardly watch British TV so it's not really my thing to be also watching American stuff, but this woman sounds like EXACTLY the type that would make me cross.

And besides, what's wrong with Obama's underpants?

You're absolutely right. She had no business throwing vile words like that around at all. Want me to trip her or punch her for ya?

And, Scope is very right, it is YOUR blog, so you can say anything in it you want. Vent away!!!! This right here is the Universe of Cowguy! Speak your mind!

By the way, I like the Universe of Cowguy!!!! But now my time is up and I need to go back to the Universe of Cora.

(Crap. Universe of Cora? Did I just call myself 'fat'?!?!)

Ditto, Cowguy, from a fellow "racist". I couldn't have said it better.

Racist? I'm sorry. I thought it was not only our right but our obligation to question our leaders. Especially when we're being led into a debt from which our great-grandchildren will never recover. But, hey, the silver lining in all of this - I heard they're hiring over at the Treasury Dept. Someone's gotta operate those money printing machines that are running 24/7!

Yay for you! I haven't listened to her BS in years. What is it Laura says? "Shut up and sing." Ya - shut up you ignorant ass and go try acting for once. Well said, Jace. Well said.

Oh - and regarding those crocs? They look like Earth Shoes. Remember those? LOL I'll bet they're comfortable tho. No shame in that.

Good for you, you can tell by all the Tea parties that were not publicized much that a lot of people agree with you and I'm one of them. We get a freedom a day taken away, Freedom de jour, I guess you can say.

The funny thing is that by saying these things she did the exact opposite of what Obama wants us to do which is to set aside our inconsequential differences and come together as a nation, to UNITE to solve our problems.

Agree! I love that line from SNL, its always been my fave.

What, you are surprised....? :)

They have been calling us that and much worse for as long as I can remember.

I'm happy to see that you guys in the US are still able to own guns and express your opinions freely, I hope it continues to stay that way!

I haven't seen it, but I have to say that even though I am a big Obama supporter, you have every right to disagree with him or his decisions or his politics. Without being a racist. It's our freedom of speech, it's our right, our privilege, our country. And it's your blog - have at it.

Cowguy said...

Thank you for all the comments everyone!

This is my first time reading your blog and I must say...AMEN. Very well said, couldn't agree more, Janeane IS ignorant, and all that stuff (I could go on, trust me). I'll definitely be stopping by again!
