Sometimes The Internets Freak Me Out.

I'm pretty well harshed to 'bout anything that I run across on the internets, but once in awhile... I get something sent to me that gets my "recoil in horror" mode up out of standby and running at full speed with the nitrous kicked on.

This is a real product. A real toy... wait, just watch the freakin' video.

Okay. There.

*in my best psychiatrist voice* "And how do you feel about that?"

I'm no prude. I'm a big fan of breastfeeding. Hell I'm a big fan of breasts all over the dang place. I like 'em plenty. But... the little nipple vest that the child slips on, and then sticks little baby weirdo up to it and as Jackie Gleason used to say, "And awaaaay we go!" That just crosses a line for me. If a nursing mom were sitting next to me in public, and had their baby on the boob, naturally I would notice, it's hard not to. But I'd just go back to my magazine or movie or whatever and ignore them.

If a 7 year old girl... or even weirder, but conceivably a possibility, a 7 year old boy sits next to me with this thing suckling... cousin, I'm gonna get up and move.

Lordy.

Gahhh!

I agree - that's sick. Why can't they let little girls be little girls for a while longer. They're gonna find out about all that kind of stuff soon enough. Sheesh.

Totally perverted! Kids just do not know how to be kids these days. This is just not right! People we need to take away the TV, the Video Games, and the internet from the children! Send them outside to play! Let them play in the dirt! Get dirty! Ride their bikes! You know what kids USE TO DO! This is just wrong.

Maybe we can buy the kids three or four sets, that way they can take care of their stuffed dogs and cats, too.

Did you read the reasoning behind the toy? They want to make little girls comfortable with their bodies and that breast feeding is completely natural.

It is amazing that that is the means they would choose to teach a girl to be comfortable with her body. Have a baby and breast feed and you too will be one with nature and have no hang ups about your body.

I am trying to imagine my little brothers' reactions if I had tried this when I was a kid. Yikes.

You said it best, Cowguy. Gahhh!

Ridiculous. What's worse is some will actually buy these things.

Um.

Wow.

That's nothing, really. Did you see the toy underwear you can buy for little girls and they can play "on my period?"

*snort*

I gotta say, I'm all kinds of on board with breastfeeding, too. BUT...kids who see their mom nursing a sibling already imitate it. They will hold their baby doll up to their chest to "feed" it. And that's cool!
A FAKE BRA WITH NIPPLES?!!? Um...totally unnecessary and way to make breastfeeding totally creepy and huge ICK factor.
You want your kid to be comfortable with breastfeeding? Then breastfeed their little sibling in front of them, let them know they were breastfed, and let them know that boobs are little (or not so little) milk factories not just something to fill out a dress or hot shirt.
It's a bit skeevy, that nipply bra.
